It's this rock-paper-scissors balance that makes StarCraft II as fun as it is. None of the game's three alien races are more powerful than the others, and every unit in the game can be countered with something else. This system not only offers a real sense of progression, but also requires you to keep thinking strategically even when you're not in the thick of battle. You won't make enough money to purchase all the upgrades in a single play-through, so you'll need to think carefully about what you buy. These range from stat enhancements all the way to new abilities, like being able to instantly call down supply depots from orbit. But if you're anything like me, the first place you'll go after each mission is the ship's armory, where you can spend the money you earn on upgrades.
